Sophia Kurmann, Vio G.C & Sabina Drg, Moritz Lucht, RiLa

The performing artists are young Berlin-based circus artists from the Berlin circus association Verein zur Überwindung der Schwerkraft.
Sophia Kurman: Having started as a professional football player, Sophia learned to love movement but was always looking for something more than football. During her studies in England, she discovered her love for circus and came to Berlin to attend the circus school here.
Vio G.C. and Sabina Drag are a Spanish-Polish clown duo working with the means of physical comedy, slapstick, pantomime and dance. Each artist follows her own research on movement and absurdity. Their experiences brought them together to create this piece, which they are developing by pushing the limits of imagination.
Moritz Lucht: Born and raised in Berlin, Moritz attended the circus school Rogelio Rivel in Barcelona for two years and the Berlin circus school Etage e.V. for three years. He now performs using techniques of hand balancing, acrobatics and aerial rope. In his works, he combinines circus and theater elements with humor and the constant exploration of new ideas.
Rila: The aerial duo Rila consists of Rike Greusing and Larissa Dingler. They work together as two small women doing aerial circus, and, in doing so, literally cling to each other, constantly change positions and continuously challenge traditional gender roles in aerial circus.
