Sirje Aleksandra Viise mit Genoël von Lilienstern
Sirje Aleksandra Viise is an Estonian-American vocalist, performer and artist. She was educated in both visual arts and music in Indiana, New York City, Boston and Berlin. She specializes in extended vocal techniques, contemporary and experimental music performance, performance art and sculpture. In her solo programs and performances, she questions the character of the female performer and the role of the singer in contemporary society. Much of her work is autobiographical in origin. The Hole Collective Sirje frequently collaborates with artists including Vinko Globokar, Simon Steen-Andersen, Alexander Schubert, Jakob Ullmann, Helmut Oehring, Juliana Hodkinson, Genoël von Lilienstern, Ernst Surberg, Andreas Borregaard, Kirsten Reese, Daniel Gloger, Nikolai Worsaæ, Hassan Khan, Dariusz Przybylski, Müller/Rinnert, Timo Kreuser, Neo Hülcker and Arturas Bum.teinas and has worked with ensembles including Ensemble Mosaik, Nico and the Navigators, Zafraan Ensemble, Figura Ensemble Copenhagen, RISK, S.A.F.T., Romeo Castellucci, Schaubühne Berlin, and Pina Bausch/Tanztheater Wupperthal.
