Romuald Krężel

Romuald Krężel is an independent theater and performance maker, actor and choreographer, originally from Poland and based in Berlin. He creates different forms of contemporary theater, including performances, choreographies and theater pieces. They address the topic of labor in the field of art and question the position of the contemporary artist in western society by analyzing the conditions of their work. He has collaborated with Monica Duncan, Emmilou Rößling, Komuna//Warszawa, Markus Öhrn and Oliver Frlji. His works have been presented in the art festivals and venues such as HAU Hebbel am Ufer, Künstlerhaus Mousonturm, Frankfurter Kunstverein, Hellerau Dresden, Nowy Theater in Warsaw, Theater Confrontations Festival in Lublin, Malta Festival in Pozna., Palais de la Porte Dorée in Paris, Lithuanian National Drama Theater in Vilnius. Romuald studied acting at the Film School in .ód. and choreography and performance at the Institute for Applied Theater Studies in Giessen.
